CABINS

Summers can be hot in Tennessee. Our Cabins are rustic and air-conditioned. Each cabin is complete with 6 bunks allowing 12 campers per cabin. With 12 cabins (6 of which are dedicated to the ladies, 6 of which are dedicated to the gentlemen), that is room for 144 campers. A director's cabin with 8 beds and two bathrooms. The boat house sleeps 6 and a single bathroom, adds extra space for renters.

Bath House

Newly renovated bathhouses provide an experience unlike most other summer camps. There are two bathhouses on the boys side and two on the girls side. Each bathhouse houses two toilet stalls, four shower stalls, and a double sink.

Kitchen and Dining

Commercial kitchen

Our commercial kitchen is centrally located in the dining hall. Four warming pans begin the long serving counter. Three commercial ovens have the space to cook for any size crowd. Above 1 oven is a large flat griddle; above the next oven is a grill, and above the 3rd oven is our cook top. All of these are gas. Nestled in between 2 of the ovens is a commercial size deep fryer. There is a walk-in pantry, linen closet, and bathroom. A walk-in cooler and freezer sits in the rear. Our washroom is complete with a commercial dishwasher. Cooking utensils, pots and pans, commercial coffee maker, silverware and cups are all provided.

Dining

The dining hall is a large open area where renters conduct their large group business. It is used as an eating spot, a worship sanctuary, a game room, and a large space for entertaining. Tables, chairs, and stage partitions are provided. For those who visit during cooler weather, a rock fireplace towers in the rear of the dining hall. Firewood is available on site. Most groups, during warmer weather, utilize the large hearth as a stage, for their meeting time in the dining hall. The rock, that was used to build the fireplace, was collected on the adjacent hill next to the dining hall by scouts in the early 70's, as our dining hall was constructed. A large covered Pavilion sits just outside of the dining hall, along the creek. It has picnic tables that provide enough seating for most groups. It is complete with lighting and fans. Horseshoe pits are next to this Pavilion as well. Our seating in the dining hall consists of 8 foot banquet tables and chairs, accommodating enough seating for our sleeping capacity, which is 168.

Worship

Chapel in the woods

Our outdoor chapel in the woods is centrally located between the boy's and girl's cabins. With our lake as it's backdrop, it has been utilized for classroom space, worship and devo space, skit night, as well as a wedding chapel. Benches line the graveled seating area, and can accommodate most groups. There is 1 outlet located at the front of the stage area

Pool

The highlight of many of Valley View campers is our hilltop pool. The large pool offers 2 slides, as well a a platform diving board. A covered Pavilion, complete with a ping pong table and benches, is nestled in the corner. Our pool house offers 2 changing areas, 1 for the guys and 1 for the gals. Just outside of the game house, you will find our sand volleyball court, gaga pit, as well as our human foosball court. You will find limited sports equipment inside as well.

craft house

Our craft house is located across the creek, just on the other side of the basketball court. Most groups utilize this space for crafts and classrooms. It is equipped with benches and chairs, as well as a sink for rinsing out craft supplies. Lighting and ceiling fans round off this space. Just beyond the craft house is our archery range with 3 target bags.

Lake

Lake

At just under 2 acres, our stocked lake serves as the centerpiece bordering our cabin area. Our main dock, and launching point for the canoes and pedal boats, sits just outside of the boathouse. The canoe shed is located behind the boathouse, housing 6 canoes and 3 pedal boats. Life jackets and oars are next to the canoe shed in their own shed. The boathouse was converted into a cabin several years ago. It will sleep 6, and also has a full bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, and central heat and air. The covered front porch faces the lake and the cabin area.
